Aljezur

Aljezur isa town with steep streets and a Moorish castle from the 10th century (which was the last to be taken from the Arabs. It has an excellent view out over the castle ruins and white houses, with the green of Monchique, and the nearby Parish Church, with its neoclassical doorway and the altar-piece.
